Goodman-LeGrand Museum Expressions of Beauty: Nancy A Berkhouse Display
The Goodman-LeGrand Museum, located at 624 N. Broadway Ave., will be hosting a month-long exhibit from April 20 – May 18 showcasing the works of Nancy A. Berkhouse.
Presented by the Palette of Roses Art League and Nancy A. Berkhouse Estate, Expressions of Beauty celebrates the life and works of the Nancy A. Berkhouse, who was renowned throughout Texas and beyond. Although her initial interest in art was sparked while attending Waynesburg College in Western Pennsylvania, it was after she moved to East Texas in 1960 that her unique gifts truly became manifest. For the next 50 years, Nancy achieved excellence in all genres, but became especially known for her Texas Hill Country landscapes. Her paintings have been purchased by art lovers from across the country and won countless awards, ribbons, and honors.
The exhibit will present a selection of works spanning her career and showcasing the development of her singular style noted for depth and warmth that created lifelike scenes both amazing and delightful.
The Goodman-LeGrand Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is free, but a suggested $3 donation per person will go toward the day-to-day operation of the museum. All donations are greatly appreciated.
